In the first half of 2023, the U.S. air conditioner market performed well against a backdrop of high temperatures, lower inflation rates, stable mortgage interest rates, and increased demand for new homes. By segment, the split-type market performed particularly well, showing a low single-digit increase compared with the same period last year. Since July, record-high temperatures are continuing, especially in the southern and western regions, so the splittype market is expected to continue to perform well in the second half of the year.
