In recent years, the European heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) market has experienced huge growth with an annual average increase of 5 to 20%. Even more growth is expected in the coming years, depending on the business segments and geographic areas, driven partly up by the greater incentives available for green technologies related to low energy consumption buildings or nearly zero energy buildings (nZEB) and also by the great attention energy efficiency and environmental sustainability are attracting. With these new energy efficient buildings, the European Commission (EC) aims to reach impressive decarbonization levels by 2050.
