Daikin Shiga Plant Continues to Evolve Beyond Its 50th Anniversary

Located in Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture, Daikin Shiga Plant was established in November 1970 and celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. On a site covering more than 255,800 m2, Shiga Plant has three factories, two research buildings, a practical laboratory, a parts center, an energy center, etc. The plant is a development and production base in Japan, and is centered on Daikin’s residential products, with a wide range of subjected products such as Urusara X single-split type room air conditioners (RACs), multi-split air conditioners, Kokotas multi-cassette type air conditioners for small spaces, Carrime portable air conditioners, Eco Cute CO2 heat pump water heaters, and air purifiers. It is also developing risora single-splits, Karaie dehumidifying dryers, and assist circulators.
