In October 2011, the Asian Heat Pump Thermal Storage Technologies Network (AHPN W) was established by seven members in the heat pump and thermal storage fields: China Academy of Building Research (CABR); Heating, Cooling and Thermo Fluids Technology Indonesia (HCTFTI); Heat Pump and Thermal Storage Technology Center of Japan (HPTCJ); Hanoi University of Technology (HUST) in Vietnam; the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE); King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Thailand; and Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL). AHPNW shares information on technological and policy trends in the heat pump and thermal storage system sectors in Asian countries, and is working to promote the spread of heat pump technology in the Asian region and to prevent global warming.
