Although projections concerning the year 2020 were initially rather optimistic, the Spanish economy has been deeply affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. A total lockdown, which lasted from March until June, was issued by the government and concluded with a progressive return to commercial activity, depending on the status of the epidemic in each Spanish region.
