India continuously experienced heat waves last year, and this year too. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that in late May 2020, temperatures higher than 40℃ were recorded in parts of the northern region such as Rajasthan State, Punjab State, Haryana State, and Uttar Pradesh State, and the capital city New Delhi.
