Since the beginning of this spring, Southeast Asia has generally experienced good weather. However, that did not lead to an increase in demand for RACs as in previous years. Southeast Asia was seriously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in March to May, which is the peak period for RAC sales. Accordingly, the Southeast Asian RAC market scale in the first half of 2020 is estimated to have decreased by 36% year on year. In April in particular, many dealers were forced to close due to measures against COVID-19, and air conditioner sales fell sharply. However, since May, markets have been recovering in countries that have gradually relaxed regulations.
