This spring, the United States tended to be hot, with above normal temperatures in most areas except the east. In late April, the first heat wave in the season hit the southwestern parts of the nation, with some spots in California State and others reaching outdoor temperatures around 40ºC. Unusually high temperatures are expected to continue in June in most regions.
