In line with the growth of the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry in India, the compressor market grew about 8% in 2019. The maximum growth of about 12% was clocked by the hermetic rotary compressors for air conditioners, reflecting the strong growth in the air conditioner market during 2019. Within this category, inverter compressors showed the highest growth rate, especially with 3 Star and 5 Star ratings. Hermetic reciprocating compressors for refrigerators also showed a high 9.5% growth. All the other categories grew by less than 5% each.
