EPA Proposes One-year Extension for VRFs Using High-GWP HFCs

On June 26, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a proposed rule in the Federal Register to delay implementation of the restriction on the use of hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants with high global warming potential (GWP) in variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems with capacities of 65,000 BTU/ h and above.
