HPTCJ Appeals to HPWHs Based on Trial Results

Heat Pump & Thermal Storage Technology Center of Japan (HPTCJ) has made trial calculations on the energy consumption and CO2 emissions of equipment used for single-family houses and apartment buildings and costs. HPTCJ has also made trial calculations of the effects that the expanded use of residential heat pump water heaters (HPWHs) across Japan have had on energy savings and reductions in CO2 emissions. Reported in this August issue are the trial calculations results regarding the energy consumption and the CO2 emissions of equipment used for single-family houses and apartment buildings and costs.
