Effective July 8, 2024, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), including their salts and structural isomers, shall be designated as hazardous substances under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).
