Skyrocketing Copper Prices Force Air Conditioner Price Increase

Over the past year and a half, copper prices, which had been stable at RMB 65,000 (about US$ 9,000) to just under RMB 70,000 (about US$ 9,700) per ton, rose sharply during the past few trading days, rising both in the international and domestic markets; futures and spot prices have all risen to more than RMB 70,000 per ton.
