Daikin to Change Its Representative Directors

On May 9, 2024, Daikin announced that changes in representative directors were determined at the Board of Directors’ Meeting held on the same day. These appointments will become officially effective at the subsequent Board of Directors’ Meeting, following approval at the 121st Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on June 27, 2024.
According to the announcement, Naofumi Takenaka, current senior executive officer in charge of Human Resources: General Affairs, will become Daikin’s representative director, president and chief operating officer (COO), and member of the board in addition to an assigned post of chairman of the Internal Control Committee. Mr. Takenaka entered Daikin in April 1986.
