2024-03-24
Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc., a Daikin group manufacturer based in the US, donated eighty-eight HVAC systems to support a temporary housing project in west Maui, which was severely impacted by the 2023 wildfire. These donations were facilitated through Project Empower, the nonprofit arm of the Hawaii solar company RevoluSun. The temporary housing project, known as "Ohana Hope Village," is being led by the nonprofit Family Life Center. Construction began in August 2023, and the first residents should move in by spring 2024.
