The performance of the Russian room air conditioner (RAC) and packaged air conditioner (PAC) markets in 2023 were somewhat unexpected.

The summer of 2023 was hot only in the Volga, the Urals, and Siberia, not the main regions in terms of RAC and PAC sales in Russia. At the same time, Moscow and the south of Russia, major consumers of RACs and PACs in Russia, were warm only in August. In previous years, such summer weather conditions resulted in lower sales or, at best, market stagnation. Late warmth never led to an increase in demand.
