1. Epta Offers Its Complete and Complementary Technical Solutions
On December 5, Epta presented its increasingly complete and complementary technical offering, including the sub-brands EptaTechnica and EptaService, to align with the new concept: Innovation Reloaded. The Epta Sustainable System. EptaTechnica is a brand dedicated to designing and developing entirely customizable system engineering solutions. This includes compatible modular control units and advanced refrigeration systems, configured to meet the specific needs of retailers to ensure efficiency across any latitude and climate.

2. Find the Future at HVAC&R Japan 2024
HVAC&R Japan 2024, the 43rd Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigerating Expo, will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from January 30 to February 2, organized by the Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association (JRAIA) with offline and online platforms. Under the theme ‘Find the future with HVAC&R’, 148 exhibitors are expected to showcase their latest heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) products and services that achieve a sustainable society and contribute to carbon neutrality.

3. Midea Inaugurates Its High-end, Intelligent, and Flexible Chiller Plant
Midea Building Technologies (MBT) announced that its 2,000th centrifugal chiller unit has rolled off the production line. At this milestone moment, the company also announced the official completion of a high-end intelligent and flexible plant for centrifugal chillers. On November 28, 2023, MBT held an opening ceremony for this plant in Chongqing, under the theme of ‘Intelligent manufacturing inspiring new journey’, which was attended by more than 100 guests, customers, and media from home and abroad.

4. Copeland Announces CO2 Compressor
In the United States, Copeland began manufacturing 4MTLS transcritical and 4MSLS subcritical CO2 semi-hermetic compressors in Rushville, Indiana, in early November. The ZO series of CO2 scroll and ZO(D) series of digital scroll compressors, which are designed for CO2 subcritical cascade and booster systems, are now being manufactured in Sidney, Ohio. The compressor manufacturing will help Copeland meet demand from its original equipment manufacturing (OEM) and end-user customers for food retail and cold storage applications that comply with new regulations and offer greater sustainability.

5. Samsung Indonesian AC Production Line Starts Operation in October 2023
Samsung Electronics Indonesia announced that the Samsung air conditioner production line officially started operations in Indonesia in October 2023. The new production line is located next to the Samsung cellphone production line at its factory covering an area of about 100,250 m2 in Cikarang, West Java, Indonesia.
