New Standard, UL 8802, for Ultraviolet Germicidal Products

The first edition of ANSI/CAN/UL 8802, the Standard for Ultraviolet (UV) Germicidal Equipment and Systems, was published on Nov. 16, 2023. This Standard was developed by UL Standards and Engagement (ULSE) and approved as a joint Canadian and United States (U.S.) National Standard by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and the American National Standard Institute (ANSI).
