Indian Government Revises PLI Scheme for ACs, LED Lights

The Indian government has revised its guidelines for the INR 62.38 billion (about US$ 749 million) Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for white goods, to enhance the ease of doing business in the sector. The PLI in this segment is for domestic manufacturing of air conditioners and light-emitting diode (LED) lights, and companies including Daikin, Panasonic, and Havells are among the beneficiaries of the scheme.
