Coracle World Championships raises £29,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support charity

More than £29,500 has been raised as a result of this year’s Macmillan Coracle World Championships held on the River Severn in Shrewsbury in September… as well as a new world record.
 
It followed the successful event at the Pengwern Boat Club at which 160 competitors took to the round shaped coracle craft to cross to the banks of the river between the club and the Quarry Park and back.
