According to statistics from JRAIA, shipments of RDCs in Japan for FY 2022 decreased by 8.8% to 248,452 units compared with FY 2021. Of them, the plug-in type decreased by 9.6% to 143,532 units, and the splittype decreased by 7.7% to 104,920 units. The year-on-year decline rate of condensing units, which are used as outdoor units for RDCs, was even greater, recording a doubledigit decrease of 11.0% to 71,139 units. Even greater declines were seen in water coolers and transport refrigeration units, which are used for trucks and other means of transport involving frozen and refrigerated food, etc. They decreased by 22.3% to 5,717 units and by 14.4% to 23,090 units, respectively.
