1. Dalrada Opens Heat Pump Showroom in Las Vegas
On July 18, Dalrada Financial, which is based in San Diego, California and operates companies in the clean energy, climate technology, and precision manufacturing sectors, announced that it had opened a new showroom and demonstration room in Las Vegas, Nevada that showcases its Dalrada Climate Technology heat pump products. Dalrada Climate Technology offers commercial heat pumps that use natural CO2 as the refrigerant for applications such as schools, hotels, commercial buildings, data centers, and food processing factories.

2. Indian AC Market in the first Half of 2023 (Contribution by Mr. Kumar)
For the Indian room air conditioner (RAC) industry, the January to March 2023 quarter saw good growth due to unprecedented demand. However, in the April to June quarter, due to weather conditions, demand went down steeply. Instead of a long and hot summer as forecasted earlier, there were early rains that affected demand in the quarter that contributes the maximum sales during the year. Growth in the RAC market during the first half of 2023 was around 5% compared with the same period in 2022.

3. TCL Air Conditioner Opens up New Opportunities with AHRI
TCL Air Conditioner (Zhongshan) (TCL AC) recently became a standard international member of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). This membership brings numerous advantages to TCL AC and opens up new opportunities for the company’s technological development.

4. Mitsubishi Electric Celebrates 30th Anniversary of Scottish Factory
Mitsubishi Electric hosted the 30th anniversary celebration at its factory in Livingston, Scotland, on July 6. Key government and industry figures attended. The Livingston factory is an advanced facility that has been manufacturing air conditioning units for 30 years and producing heat pumps for installation across the United Kingdom and Europe since 2009. It is now the largest heat pump manufacturer in the United Kingdom, employing 1,840 people and helping to support Scotland’s green economy and transition to low-carbon heating.

5. SIFA to Be Staged in Paris in October
The Interprofessional Refrigeration and its Application Trade Show, SIFA will be staged at Porte de Versailles, Paris, on October 10 to 12, 2023. With over 130 exhibitors and more than 30 lectures and workshops, the event will be a resounding success.
