Daikin Aims to Produce Record-high 9.75 Million Units in 2023

Daikin announced that it expects to produce 9.75 million units globally in fiscal year (FY) 2023 ending March 2024, the highest ever. Daikin’s air conditioner business continues to expand and knows no bounds. Domestic production in FY 2022 was about 1.16 million units, an increase of 14% compared with FY 2021, and global production was about 8.65 million units, an increase of 8% compared with FY 2021. Then, in August 2023, operations began at the company’s plant in southern India, and further expansion of the production volume is expected.
