METUS Announces Hybrid VRF System

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) recently announced the launch of its Hybrid Variable Refrigerant Flow (HVRF) system, which features a two-pipe VRF zoning system that uses water instead of refrigerant for heat transfer in indoor spaces. The HVRF uses Mitsubishi Electric’s Hybrid Branch Circuit Controller (HBC) to exchange heat between the refrigerant and water while providing simultaneous heating and cooling without using refrigerant indoors.
