High Temperatures Increase Production and Sales of RACs in May

As indicated by the latest production and sales monthly report, room air conditioners (RACs) have seen production volumes rise to 19.072 million units in May 2023, increasing by 19.4% year on year; the sales volume reached 19.27 million units, growing by 20.1% year on year. Delivery volumes in the domestic market reached 12.636 million units, increasing by 29.1% year on year; and the export volume was 6.634 million units, an increase of 6.1% year on year. Industry inventory dropped by 6.4% year on year.
