Hitachi–Johnson Controls Air Conditioning Holds 40th Anniversary Ceremony for Commercialization of Scroll Compressor Development

On February 25, 2023, Hitachi–Johnson Controls Air Conditioning celebrated the 40th anniversary of the commercialization of the company’s scroll compressor. To commemorate this milestone, the company held a ceremony on May 18 at its Shimizu Factory in Shizuoka Prefecture. The company executives and employees of the Shimizu Factory attended the ceremony. As a guest, Kenji Tojo, who played a central role in the development of scroll compressors in 1983, was invited.
