The pandemic is finally showing signs of calming down today, more than three and a half years after the onset of the outbreak, which was followed by the emergence and disappearance of many variants of the virus. This nightmare that has engulfed the world has hit the United States as well. Its medical system was temporarily on the verge of collapse, resulting in a death toll that is among the world’s worst. In the midst of this social turmoil, there were times when the economy receded sharply due to stagnation in production and logistics. Even so, the United States is demonstrating its underlying strength, and is now experiencing unexpectedly strong recovery, through the development of vaccines and large-scale economic support measures.
