Midea Holds Patent Volume Rank No. 7 Worldwide

According to the 2022 global patent leaders top 250 list released by IFI Claims, Midea Group ranked No. 7 worldwide, with a patent volume of 64,895 pieces (as of January 3, 2023), which placed it in No. 1 among all Chinese enterprises. Some statistics indicate that during the most recent five years, from 2018 to 2022, Midea has cumulatively invested over RMB 50 billion (about US$ 7.28 billion) in research and development (R&D) and has developed technology yielding over 100,000 patents across 50 countries and regions worldwide.
