Mitsubishi Electric to Construct New Wafer Plant

On March 14, 2023, Mitsubishi Electric announced that it will double a previously announced investment plan to approximately ¥260 billion (about US$ 1.98 billion) in the fiveyear period to March 2026, mainly for the construction of a new wafer plant to increase production of silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductors.
