Carrier Adds R515B Refrigerant Option to AquaEdge Chillers

Carrier has announced that its Aqua Edge 19MV oil-free water-cooled centrifugal chiller is now available with R515B refrigerant in addition to R134a and R513A. At 299, R515B refrigerant has the lowest global warming potential (GWP) of the three available refrigerants. It is a hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) azeotropic blend with a non-combustible (A1) safety rating. It is designed as a replacement for R134a in medium-temperature refrigeration and high-temperature cooling systems.
