Heat pumps are now attracting attention as an alternative to boilers, and the global heat pump market is expanding significantly. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), heat pump sales grew globally by more than 13% year on year in 2021. In the same year, their sales volume in the European Union (EU) increased by around 35% compared with 2020. Significant sales growth was reported in many countries in 2022 as well.
