Honeywell Increases Production of HFO-1234ze

On December 1, 2022, Honeywell announced that it had doubled its production capacity for hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerant R1234ze, which it markets as Honeywell Solstice ze, at its facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the United States. Honeywell’s Solstice line comprises a range of HFO based refrigerants, whose demand is growing due to the phasedown of high-GWP HFC refrigerants.
