Hitachi-Johnson Controls Air Conditioning to Restore RAC Production

On November 29, 2022, Hitachi‑Johnson Controls Air Conditioning held a shipping ceremony for the flagship Shirokuma-kun Premium X model room air conditioner (RAC) series at Tochigi Factory.
The Shirokuma-kun model equipped with a Frost Wash function was released in 2017, and by summer 2022, shipments exceeded 3 million units. Features of the 2023 model include the Premium Plasma Kusei function, which has enhanced mold suppression capabilities, and the Plus Ventilation unit that allows full‑scale ventilation available as an option.
