NEDO Project Contributes to Revision of IS for EOS for Refrigerants

New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) has so far developed equipment using low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants, studied the safety and risk assessment method of refrigerants, made high‑precision measurements of refrigerant properties, and developed equations of state (EOS) for refrigerants, in an effort to find new refrigerants with low GWPs that replace hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants. Recently, in particular, NEDO has been focusing on the research and development (R&D) of hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) blends which are expected to feature both safety and low GWPs.
