The European market for chillers with capacities above 50 kW in 2021 achieved exceptional year-on-year growth of 21% and approached €1.49 billion (about US$ 1.75 billion), after a year-on-year fall of 5.9% in 2020 due to pandemic-related restrictions. By type, water-cooled chillers increased by 23% and air-cooled chillers rose 20% year on year in 2021.
