JRAIA Announces Its Stance on Carbon Neutrality in 2050

In November 2021, the Japanese government unveiled its scenario for the introduction of green refrigerants and equipment as part of the response targeting carbon neutrality in 2050. In this context, the Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association (JRAIA) announced its stance on 2050 carbon neutrality. JRAIA considers it has yet to overcome the issues that need to be addressed for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry, so while it shares the overall goal it should aim for, it recognizes that it is a ‘target value to aim for.’ JRAIA’s basic stance is crystallized in the following two points.
