Keyter Commercializes First-Ever Scroll Chiller Using Honeywell’s Ultra-Low-Global-Warming-Potential Solstice® Ze Refrigerant

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J., October 10, 2022 – Honeywell (Nasdaq: HON) today announced that Keyter will use Honeywell’s ready-now Solstice® ze (R-1234ze) refrigerant in their new Helvetia scroll chillers for commercial building applications. With a global warming potential (GWP) of less than one, Solstice ze is a hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerant that has a GWP that is 99.9 percent lower than R-410A and allows industry professionals to stay compliant with regulations while benefitting from government subsidies that are calling for reduced-impact alternatives to high GWP hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).
