Panasonic’s Czech Plant to Increase ATW HP Production to 500,000 Units by FY 2025

In Europe, where environmental awareness is high, air-to-water (ATW) heat pumps, which use renewable energy for heating, have attracted attention from early on and have developed into a large market. JARN estimates that the European ATW heat pump market reached 1.09 million units in 2021, growing by a substantial 46.1% compared with 2020, mainly thanks to subsidy polices for heat pumps. With the European heating season facing an energy crisis this year, demand for ATW heat pumps is expected to continue to grow.
