Spool Compressor Breakthrough Announced for Low-GWP Applications

Torad Engineering, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, the United States, manufacturers spool compressors for license by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) that offer cost savings and other benefits. Similar to a rotary vane compressor, Torad’s spool compressors have just four key components: the rotor, main housing, vane, and bearing housing. The spool compressors are smaller and lighter weight than comparable compressors for the same applications. The simple design can also be manufactured with standard machine tools, and is scalable and configurable across a range of compression applications.
