Over the past few years, shipping clinical trials at frozen, deep frozen and ultra-deep frozen temperatures became more common. More stringent Good Distribution Guidelines (GDP) and beginning trials with less stability data contributed to this change. However, as a trial moves through each phase, temperature needs change, and the increasing number of participants and expanded geography introduce greater logistical challenges.
