During an onsite and online workshop held in May 2022 by the Norwegian National Team in conjunction with the Executive Committee meeting of the Technology Collaboration Programme on Heat Pumping Technologies (HPT TCP) by the International Energy Agency (IEA), a presentation gave an update on heat pump uptake in Norway. The presentation by Rolf Iver Hagemoen, secretary-general of the Norwegian Heat Pump Association, emphasized that heat pumps are widely used in Norway, even in areas with temperatures down to –35ºC in winter.
