EHPA Position Paper on the revision of the F-gas Regulation (517/2014)
2022-07-07
Fluorinated gases (F-gases) are greenhouse gases. In small amounts, they play a crucial role in heat pumps. The EU’s 'F-gas Regulation' aims to reduce their impact on the climate. It requires a phase down in use of F-gases and bans some types of them. This is fully supported by the heat pump sector, which supports a shift to a net zero Europe - and indeed has been working towards it from day one.
