DecarbCities 2022 – Cities Can Gain Independence from Fossil Fuels

Hosted by the City of Vienna, Austria, the third edition of the DecarbCities Conference took place on May 11 to 12. It brought together industry, government, academia, legislative bodies, and thought leaders from across the European Union (EU). The speakers and participants in the conference shared and accessed significant learnings from the latest innovations to ensure cities’ efficient, stable, and secure decarbonization.
The main aim of DecarbCities was to fuel the ongoing debate on national and regional energy and climate plans and renovation strategies, as mandated by the European legislation on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and building efficiency.
