MHAQ Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for Phase 3 Project

On March 29, a groundbreaking ceremony for the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries-Haier (Qingdao) Air-Conditioners (MHAQ) (Phase 3) project was held at Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Haier Jimo factory. The project covers an area of 20,000 m2, and involves a total investment of RMB 520 million (about US$ 81.7 million). Commercial air conditioner (CAC) production and processing plant and supporting facilities will be constructed, with a total construction area of 52,000 m2. Four CAC production assembly lines will be newly constructed, along with two heat exchanger processing lines and 100 hp air conditioner development lab and some supporting energy power equipment. The project will be put into trial production in May 2023.
