1. Daikin Atmosphera Splits with R32 Released in U.S.
In December 2021, for the first time in North America, Daikin launched the new Daikin Atmosphera home comfort product featuring R32. R32 systems in more than 100 countries and regions,” said Takayuki Inoue, executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer. “We are excited to be the first to bring this proven technology to North America.”

2. GMCC Sells 100 Million AC Compressors Annually
Meizhi Compressor (GMCC), a Midea Group company and a world giant in the field of air conditioning
compressor manufacturing, held a grand conference in Shunde, Guangdong, China, to celebrate the company’s annual sales of 100 million air conditioning compressors in 2021. JARN reporters were also invited to attend and witnessed this exciting event.

3. European Heat Pump Sales Reach 2 Million in 2021
The European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) has announced that 2021 was a decisive year for the energy transition and the heat pump sector. In 2020, the European market saw modest 7% growth compared with 2019, and in 2021, the market not only recovered, but also grew at an unprecedented pace, with a market increase of more than 25% and a total sales volume exceeding 2 million units, according to estimates.

4. Indonesian AC Market in 2021
Sales of room air conditioners (RACs) in Indonesia are estimated to have reached about 2.65 million units in 2021, showing a 20% increase from 2020 and approaching the sales volume achieved in 2019. In 2022, the RAC market is projected to continue to grow, showing a 6% year-on-year increase to about 2.8 million units, surpassing the sales volume in 2019.

5. Climaveneta Acquires AHRI-certified Test Bed
Climaveneta Climate Technologies, Climaveneta’s subsidiary in India, has acquired a test bed for chillers, which is certified by the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) as per ISO 550/590 and 551/591, at its manufacturing facility at Narasapura Industrial Area, Karnataka in Southern India spread over 2.4 hectares.
