In 2020, Singapore’s GDP was at an all-time low since the nation’s founding in 1965. The pandemic spread explosively in April, and a restrictive national measure called the circuit breaker was issued from the beginning of April. However, even in July, the infection rate had not yet fallen, and there were also concerns about an epidemic of dengue fever.
