MHI Thermal Systems Q-ton Circulation Wins Award for Excellence

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems (MHI Thermal Systems) has won the Award for Excellence at the 24th Ozone Layer Protection and Global Warming Prevention Commendations sponsored by the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, in recognition of the Q-ton Circulation heat pump that was jointly developed by MHI Thermal Systems and Chubu Electric Power. The awarded product has realized a substantial reduction in terms of running costs and CO2 emissions, in addition to improved energy efficiency, by adopting R454C refrigerant for the first time in Japan. These facets are highly valued from a technical perspective, and this is the third time that the awarded technology has been commended.
