Chemours Files Second Lawsuit Against AGC, Inc. for Infringement of HFO-1234yf Patent

WILMINGTON, Del., November 12, 2021 – The Chemours Company (“Chemours”) (NYSE: CC), a global chemistry company with leading market positions in Titanium Technologies, Thermal & Specialized Solutions, Advanced Performance Materials, and Chemical Solutions, announced today that it is filing a second patent infringement lawsuit in Japan against AGC, Inc. This action reaffirms Chemours’ commitment to vigorously defend its intellectual property and investment in Opteon™ low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants and builds on its on-going efforts to stop the unlicensed manufacture, marketing, and sales of Opteon™ HFO-1234yf (R-1234yf) refrigerant by all legal means wherever that activity occurs around the world.
