JARN reported on the rising prices of non-ferrous metals such as copper and aluminum and their impacts on the air conditioning industry as the cover story titled ‘Global AC Sector Hit by Price Hikes in 2021’ in the June regular issue. These prices are still rising. According to World Bank Commodity Market data, the average monthly prices of copper continued to rise this year, reaching the year’s highest of US$ 10,161.97/ton in May. After that, although they fell slightly, remaining at high prices of over US$ 9,000/ton, and recorded US$ 9,370.14/ton in August.
