Global media reported that a heat wave hit European countries this summer.
Spain set a preliminary record temperature of 47.2ºC in Montoro City, Cordoba Province, in the southern Andalusia region, on August 14, as a sizzling heat wave swept across Southern Europe. Spain’s State Meteorological Agency highlighted that if this potential new record is confirmed, it would exceed the country’s previous record of 46.9ºC set nearby in July 2017.
